About Local & Live
Local & Live grew out of the idea that there wasn't a place specifically dedicated to the great beverages produced in the State of North Carolina. You have to research where breweries and wineries sell their products in stores or bottle shops near you. Local & Live is going to change this distribution. We are going to give wineries, breweries, distilleries, and any other beverage producer in North Carolina its own dedicated space. Customers can taste the flavors of NC from one location while enjoying music from local musicians as well.

As customers walk through the door, they will approach the counter where a bartender will check their ID, collect their debit or credit card, and issue them a RFID bracelet that they can use to approach each self-pour terminal. Customers will grab a glass below the terminal or from a nearby shelf and begin selecting their desired beverages. All beverages will be labeled on a screen detailing alcohol percentage and the price per ounce, as well as a brief description provided by the beverage producer. Customers place their RFID bracelet on the RFID reader and pour their own drinks once the screen lights up. As they do this, the screen will keep a running total of how much the customer has spent as well as how many total ounces of alcohol the customer has poured. For safety reasons and as required by law, all customers will have a 36-ounce limit, which is the equivalent of 3 pints of beers. Once customers are ready to leave, they bring their RFID back to the bartender who will then issue the payment to their card on file, and then provide the customer with a receipt for signature.
